Two and a half years in the making, this is a collection of compositions originally meant for solo bass + loop pedal from Swedish musician/producer Thor Kolenda, under artist name i en identitetskris (literally "in an identity crisis").

Somehow, this release has escaped me for what feels like an eternity. This was supposed to be simple. But it wasn't. It was supposed to be inspiring and empowering. But it wasn't. Writing music by myself for myself was supposed to be freeing. But it wasn't.

As the cliché goes, my biggest enemy ended up being myself. Months passed as I planned out an amazing 10-song album. Turns out I didn't like half of them, starting an endless spiral of questioning creative decisions, leading the release to a complete stand-still.

But today sees the unremarkable release of a vaguely electronic album from an unknown Swedish musician. With the rest of i en identitetskris' backlog to finalize and record, I am hopeful that things are changing for the better.
