friska vindar och nya segel (literally "fresh winds and new sails") is the debut release for Swedish music artist i en identitetskris (literally "in an identity crisis").

This collection of songs originated as background music for video, but ended up seeing marginal use. The original intent was to create an ever-growing library of ambient ideas that could be dragged and dropped wherever a moody audio background was required. I created these five pieces, and never touched the project again.

On May 3rd 2020, I saw these pieces of music sitting on my hard drive and started to reminisce. I put myself back into my emotional state when creating these pieces, and the pride that it brought to have created something made for a purpose; video. That moment gave me realization that this music had to come to it's natural conclusion.

Here is i en identitetskris with a collection of soothing sounds for your everyday life. Today, May 4th 2020, friska vindar och nya segel is released as a personal statement of change, moving forward, and letting things go when they need to be let go.
